Let’s honor the accomplishments of our ancestors who were slaves in Jefferson/Madison County, Florida at the

Coger Family Reunion

 

Date:  August 12 thru August 14

August 12th – Meet and Greet Fish Fry at 6:30 p.m.

August 13th -  Family activities and Cook out at 12 noon

August 14th – Sunday Service at Shiloh AME Church at 11:00 a.m.

 

Where:  Thomas Rd., Aucilla, Florida

at the intersection of Thomas Rd. and Blue Lake Rd. in Aucilla, Florida.

Directions: 

  • From I-10 take exit 233 and travel north (Co Rd 257) to Blue Lake Rd.  Turn right on Blue Lake Rd. and right again on Thomas Rd.  Activities will be on your immediate left.
  • From US 90 travel south on Salt Road (Co Rd 257) for about 2miles, cross the railroad track and turn left on Blue Lake Rd and right on Thomas Rd. Activities will be on your immediate left.

 

Weekend activities will include food, fellowship, family history and “tall tales”, information on financial planning, presentation of a $500.00 scholarship*, and water activities for toddlers up to adults!  Bring a change of clothes, towels and your appetite for food and desire to learn about YOUR family’s cultural heritage and legacy.

*Scholarship qualifications – Candidate must (1) be currently enrolled and an active participant in a post high school program and (2) submit a one page article.  The article must include why you need the $500.00, how the money will be used towards your educational pursuit, demonstrate your lineage to Hannah and Daniel Coger, and an explanation how your education will honor the Coger Family. Scholarship is contingent upon candidate verifying current/active enrollment.
